Hey there! If you are reading this, you are making the right move toward a better you. Let me tell you a little something about myself so you can decide if we have potential!
I’ve been practicing psychology for 15 years. I’ve built a family of my own and a career I am truly proud of.
I am a forensic psychologist. My specialties include working with troublesome behaviours and personalities, almost all psychopathologies (mental illnesses), and overall life stress. My preference is to work with 15 years of age and up. My style involves a direct, open, and honest approach.
Some people often find themselves struggling to create or maintain healthy interpersonal relationships. Although you just can’t simply change who you are, you can change how you respond to your environment and maybe even some of the things you say, do, or think, in order to develop healthier relationships. If you identify as someone who is often battling in your relationships, making you feel like you need to change who you are, then I think we should talk.
Throughout my career, I am proud to say that I’ve successfully worked with all sorts of mental health issues. These issues can be quite normal experiences and not necessarily mental illness. No less, if the reason why you reached out to this page is to figure out what is going on or just to make improvements to your life, then I know I can help.
If you have a diagnosed mental illness or are curious if you meet criteria for a diagnosis, it might help you to know that I have vast experience working with all kinds. This includes, but is not limited to: psychotic illnesses, personality disorders (including Narcissism and Anti-Social personality traits), mood disorders, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, behavioral disorders, developmental disorders, gender-related concerns, neurocognitive disorders, and concerns related to sexual functioning. I’m also known for challenging given diagnoses.
I am very open and accepting of people from all walks of life. I am always trying to learn as much as I can about people from different backgrounds. I have a lot pride in my heritage and I respect others who feel the same about theirs.
So now that I’ve given you a bit of information about me, how about you come on in to CounsellingYYC so we could find out how I can help you be the best you. If you need to know more, please don’t hesitate to contact CounsellingYYC to find out more.

I think everyone should have a therapist. I realize how self-serving that sounds, but if we see a medical doctor on a regular basis (yes, you should do that too!) for our physical health, why wouldn’t we have someone in our pocket for mental health as well? If there is a stigma around mental health, there is stigma of having a therapist as well. I regularly meet with people that have never accessed a mental health professional and after one session you can see the anxiety leave them as I help take away those social pressures and instead focus on you, that’s what I want, to be team YOU!
I work with most age groups, but am known professionally for my ability to connect with teens. Teens and parents often don’t see things the same way and my job is to bridge communication. I work in many areas of mental health, but specifically in the areas of managing life’s stresses, anxiety/depression, anger, grief & loss, as well as addictions.
I just want to help in the ways I know work. I understand anxiety and mental health and won’t judge anything you say, I want to be that safe person for you. I often joke in first sessions that if I’m not the professional for you, that’s okay! However, I likely know more therapists than you, so let me help you find what and who will work for you.
